Lead Barista / FOH Team Member

Job type: Part-time position (15–20 hours p/w)
Location: Brunswick, Melbourne
Availability: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday to start (must have weekend availability)
Start date: Immediate

We are looking for an experienced and passionate candidate to join our growing bakery team as Lead Barista and Front of House Team Member. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role for someone who takes pride in great customer service, quality coffee and beverages, and contributing to a warm and welcoming environment.

The right candidate will bring care to all aspects of customer service and beverage preparation, and will be excited by the opportunity to lead our coffee and beverage program. First and foremost, you’ll be an integral member of the FOH team, participating in all aspects of FOH such as customer service, food and beverage preparation, and cleaning, and won’t be afraid to jump between responsibilities where needed.

We’re seeking someone who is proactive, enjoys taking ownership of systems and training, and wants to help shape the identity and management of our beverage offering as our bakery continues to grow.

General responsibilities include:
– Customer service and point of sale
– Food and beverage preparation
– Cash handling
– Cleaning and general maintenance
– Opening and closing procedures
– Inventory and stock management
– Team collaboration and support
– Menu and product knowledge

Specialised responsibilities include:
– Developing a seasonal, cohesive in-house beverage menu
– Setting up a quality control program and recipe management for all beverages
– Regular liaison with coffee and tea suppliers
– Coordinating coffee/tea/matcha/retail beverage ordering
– Staff training and onboarding for coffee service
– Managing espresso machine care and servicing schedules

Kitchen Hand/Dishy

Job type: Casual position
Location: Brunswick, Melbourne
Availability: Saturday, Sunday, and possibly Wednesday (to be discussed)
Start date: Immediate

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Hand/Dishy to join our bakery team. This role is essential to the smooth running of our kitchen and offers an opportunity to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment.

The right candidate will be thorough, efficient and take pride in maintaining a clean and organised workspace. While experience is appreciated, it’s not essential—we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good communication skills and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

You’ll be working closely with our kitchen and FOH teams to ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly, contributing to a calm and focused kitchen.

Responsibilities include:
– Washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment
– General kitchen cleaning and sanitising
– Clearing tables
– Assisting with stock organisation
– Waste and recycling management
– Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
